Impact testers for standard specimens are largely divided into Charpy and Izod methods.
Whereas Charpy places the sample horizontally on the ground and tests, Izod installs the sample vertically.

Since an important part of the metal impact test is the measurement of the transition temperature range,
in most cases, a cooling bath is used to store the sample at a low temperature before testing.

(It is possible to test up to -40 ℃ by mixing dry ice and ethanol. Liquid nitrogen is used for low temperatures below that.)

After the sample is taken out of the cooling bath, the test must be completed within 5 seconds.
For this reason, the time-consuming Izod method to set up and install the sample is unsuitable for low-temperature metal testing.

Because ASTM and ISO require different specifications, it is necessary to confirm in advance.

There is a sample tray to collect the broken samples inside the safety cover,so it helps safe testing.
Since impact test data is greatly affected by the level of the machine, it is important to level it correctly during installation.
According to ASTM standards, Daekyung Tech provides an optional plate that weighs 40 times or more compared to the weight of the weight.
Using a surface plate enables fast and accurate leveling.

(A shroud-specimen cover- that prevents broken specimens from hitting the weight is provided as standard.)
A computer with the latest specifications and a program dedicated to the impact tester are provided as standard.

The safety cover can be manufactured in various forms according to the agreement.
